Is your new product idea “The miracle of all time?” Does it “Prevent or cure COVID-19 or cancer?” Even if your company avoids obvious illegal claims like these, there’s nothing simple about researching, substantiating, and documenting health-related claims. Not only are the FDA and FTC both watching, state attorneys general and potential class action plaintiffs are too. The stakes are high, so it’s crucial to get it right the first time. But when R&D, legal, and marketing departments are out of sync, it can expose your business to risk.
Join the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and TraceGains for a discussion on how dietary supplements and natural products companies can ease the burden of health claims substantiation, achieve faster new product development, and connect teams with a networked platform.
During this webinar, you'll discover:
Steve Mister
President & CEO | CRN
Steve Mister has been President & CEO of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement industry, since 2005. Under his leadership, CRN has experienced increased membership each year, doubled its annual budget, sharpened its strategic focus to advance the industry, and launched new initiatives that increase industry responsibility and provide consumer education. During Mr. Mister’s 15-year tenure, CRN has been instrumental in enacting the adverse event reporting law for dietary supplements, the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act, and defeating several efforts in Congress that would have over-regulated dietary supplements, limiting consumer access. Mr. Mister led the association to launch the Supplement OWL, an industry-run online registry of dietary supplements and their labels.
